At the beginning, a print is left upon the clay, and it will be preserved until the end. This mark is one of an energy, an intuition, a gesture revealed by the tool that imprinted it. There follows a series of deformations of the clay, through which each sculpture comes to life, until the firing process freezes those moving shapes into an eternity echoing the original gesture. At last comes the color, vital element to the whole process. It flows along the furrows dug into the clay, creating a network of colorful curves interacting to bring life and motion back into these fossilized forms.
